I had a great time with my mum. It was really lovely.
We went shopping on Saturday and had a big-slap-up roast dinner on Sunday. There was so much food, it was like Christmas all over again! Then we went to the cinema to watch Avatar. On Monday, we went to London to meet our auntie and cousin and had lunch in a chinese restaurant.
I get that I wasn’t acting like a young child, like I did previously. I think because I wasn’t being like that, then she may not have felt the need to moan at me. I would have normally gone in grumpy mode and then spoil the whole weekend for everybody. I was also prepared to deal with whatever she had to say, if it happened. But it didn’t.
On Monday evening when I got home, I felt really pleased that the weekend was really nice and was sure that my mum had a lovely time with her daughters and grand-daughter.
My sister was really pleased that the weekend went really well and said that I did really good.
This is the beginning of having a fulfilling and loving relationship with my mum.
