Last night, an old friend from school posted on Facebook - RIP Lewis Warren…..
As soon as I saw the name I immediately thought of my ex boyfriend. Was it his nephew or not? My friend was online, so I asked her….and she confirmed that he had died at the age of 20 years old. He was the best friend of her son.
I then called my best friend back in my old home town and asked if she knew anything. She said that my ex’s ‘new’ girlfriend had called her and informed her. We both discussed our shock at the news and how unbelievable it all was. I was overwhelmed with the feeling of sadness. I knew Lewis for the seven years during the time I was with his uncle.
So, today I am still feeling sad on many levels….sad for his parents, grandparents and my ex and also for knowing such a young person to have died when he had his life ahead of him.
